Vision Statement Breastfeeding, an important public health issue, will become the societal norm for feeding infants and young children in South Carolina. Purpose The South Carolina Breastfeeding Coalition promotes, protects and supports the art and science of human milk feeding as the superior form of nutrition and nurture for infants and young children. Goals - To be an instrument of societal change through political action, education and networking.
- To protect the rights of all mothers and infants in our state to have the opportunity, support and resources to breastfeed as long as they desire.
- To recognize leading individuals, organizations and institutions in protecting, promoting and supporting breastfeeding.
- To provide resources and/or financial support for projects consistent with our purpose.

The SC Breastfeeding Coalition needs your membership support to continue to provide professional educational opportunities and to network with other state and national organizations. All memberships are for the calendar year, January through December. Individual annual dues are $20.
First time business membership annual dues are $150, business membership renewals are $125 per year. Businesses will be recognized with a plaque of membership as well as listed under business members on this website. Only businesses that support breastfeeding and are not involved in the marketing or manufacture of infant formula are accepted.
To become a member, first, please register on this website (if you haven't already). Complete the registration process by responding to the registration acknowledgement e-mail which will be sent to you. Secondly, copy the registration form below and send with a check for the correct amount to:
